What a week of surfing in Sri Lanka actually looks like

Twelve days in the south of Sri Lanka sounds pretty simple on paper. Surf, yoga, palm trees, trips, lazy beach days... The reality is less polished, and that's exactly why we love it more. Come with us to Madiha, our dream spot in Southeast Asia.

SURF EVERY DAY

This is one of the things that sets us apart from other surf camps and surf trips. We surf every day with local instructors. Whether you're standing on a board for the first time or already have some waves behind you, every lesson is adapted to your level. It's not just about letting you "try" surfing. In 12 days, you have a real chance to go from beginner to intermediate surfer. And if the morning session isn't enough, you can grab a board in the afternoon and head back into the water, on your own or with the rest of the crew.

Mornings belong to surfing and activities, middays to relaxing on the beach or by the pool with a coconut and a book. Evenings are taken over by rice & curry and long talks about the waves you almost caught. By day four, something shifts. You stop thinking about work, start reading the ocean, and realise you haven't checked your email in days.

TIME FOR DOING NOTHING

We don't want you to come home more tired than when you left. That's why there's plenty of free time between surfing, yoga and trips. For the beach, coffee, a massage, another surf, a nap or whatever you feel like. Free time is part of the programme.

A LITTLE SRI LANKA BEYOND THE BEACH

We don't just shuttle between the hotel and the surf spot. We go on safari in Udawalawe, spot crocodiles, visit a snake farm, join a cooking class and taste Sri Lanka beyond the tourist places. Add yoga, shared dinners, local food and the occasional spontaneous plan. And yes, every now and then there's a party too.

NOT A SCHOOL TRIP

Serendib Soul isn't about ticking off an itinerary. We want you to surf enough to get better, experience enough to truly feel Sri Lanka, and have enough freedom to enjoy those 12 days your own way. Twelve days by the ocean, when you slowly start forgetting what day it is. And that's exactly how we like it.
